June 2020
Research paper by RLS/ multiple authors

This study, carried out under the supervision of Mohamed Limam, seeks to understand and explain the major challenges posed by Tunisia’s management of the migration issue. The major challenges that the project of this publication intends to address refer in turn to the need for a coherent national migration strategy (NMS), the need for a legal framework on asylum in line with international standards and best practices, the nebulous notion of a safe country of origin and “naturally” recent developments relating to cooperation between Tunisia and the EU.
