Elections and transformations of the political field in Tunisia after the revolution
Article by RLS North Africa
Tunisia held its second parliamentary and presidential elections this year following the 2011 revolution. After these elections, the political landscape has changed dramatically compared to the previous legislature. But does this reconfiguration mean a real change?
The contributions in this dossier deal with several questions: What characterized the political process from 2011 to 2019 and what were its shortcomings? How can the change in the country’s political landscape be understood? How to analyze the victory of Kais Said in the presidential elections? And where does the progressive and leftist movement stand after these elections?
