Internship Procedure and Regulations

Introduction

 

The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation North Africa Office offers internship opportunities to individuals interested in contributing to our mission of promoting social justice, cross-societal dialogue, political alternatives, cultural diversity, and feminist perspectives in the region. This document outlines the procedures and guidelines for applying to internships at our office.

 

Eligibility Criteria

 

Internships are open to both Tunisian nationals and international applicants.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a relevant academic program (e.g., social sciences, humanities, communications, international relations, finance, or web development).

Proficiency in Arabic, English, and/or French is preferred.

Strong interest in and commitment to topics such as migration, social rights, feminism, and cultural studies, from a leftist perspective.

We actively welcome applications from individuals of all genders, persons with disabilities, and people from marginalized or underrepresented communities.

 

Duration and Compensation

 

Internships typically last for 1 month to 3 months.

The internship is paid, with compensation commensurate with local standards.

Interns are entitled to receive a certificate of completion at the end of their internship, detailing their roles and responsibilities.

Application Process

 

 

Applicants are required to submit:

 

  • A CV highlighting relevant academic and professional experience.
  • A motivational letter outlining their interest in the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation’s work and their /proposed project idea. (max. of one page outlining their proposal if applicable) and their intended time of the internship.
  • Samples of previous work (if applicable).

 

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview either in person or via video conference.

Applications will be evaluated based on academic background, relevant experience, language proficiency, the quality of the project proposal, and alignment with the Foundation’s capacities.

 

 

Internship Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in research, project management, and financial / administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to publications, translations, and event planning as needed.
  • Develop and implement a project aligned with the Foundation’s focus areas (if applicable).
