Call for tender: Podcast Production

Call for tender: Podcast Production

Podcast on environmental policies in the North African region.

Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, North Africa office

  1. Background

While being an “Environmental Activist”, “Climate Activist” or even “Environmentalist” is clearly defined in the international political scene and among human rights activists, this label seems less obvious for activists in the Global South and specifically in North Africa region. Many, on the ground, are active: to protect biodiversity, specific ecosystem, to access natural resources or reparations, to insure the rights of women farmers to access land, to defend the right to water and push for more socio-economic justice and ensure future for all.

Who are these people? How are they activists? When did they understand that their action was part of an ecological framework but also part of a policy leading to a fairer management of resources and negative externalities?
