Project Overview
As Part of its economic Program, The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS) intends to support the Mes Africa Project and is seeking a service provider to lead the content enhancement, administration, and support the technical development of a research-based website www.mes-Africa.org Relating to African Economic and Monetary Sovereignty, the goal is to develop it as a living platform for dialogue, action, research and advocacy.
Objectives
The primary objective is to deepen engagement and broaden participation among students, experts, academics, youth, and policymakers. The enhanced website must amplify African voices and narratives on African economic and monetary sovereignty and position it as a reference for information, data, research and advocacy attracting a diverse range of contributors including artists, historians, and activists to strengthen Pan-African perspectives.
Scope of Work
The service provider will be in charge of:
A. Visual & Brand Identity Improvements
Implement a modern, bold design utilizing an African-inspired color palette. Improve typography for better readability and develop custom iconography reflecting economic sovereignty themes and high-quality imagery.
B. Development of New Thematic Sections
The Agent must build dedicated spaces for interdisciplinary content (economy, history, Art, culture etc)
B. Content Features & Interactive Tools
Conceptualize and support the development of interactive modules, timelines, resource library, and dedicated sections for podcasts, videos, and live social media feeds.
Engagement Tools: Blog platform for scholars, an event calendar, and newsletter signup forms.
Required Expertise
- Proven experience in web UI/UX design, and website maintenance.
- Strong alignment with Pan-African perspectives
- Ability to integrate multimedia content (podcasts, social feeds)
- Ability to coordinate complex projects and deliver outputs within strict deadlines.
Financial Offer
Applicants are requested to submit a price range for the full assignment, structured per month, per day, or per task. The assignment is expected to be delivered within 6 months, with a possibility of an extension of an additional 4 months based on further project needs and successful implementation.
Evaluation Criteria
Offers will be assessed based on:
- Quality of the proposed development approach.
- Strategic Alignment: Ability to integrate pan African approach effectively.
- Relevant Experience: Portfolio of previous web development and design work.
- Cost-effectiveness.
