Call for offers: Editorial Management and Production Services for a feminist video Podcast Series

1. Background
The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS) North Africa Office is supporting a new visual podcast series that explores the intersection of domestic spaces, invisible economies, and cultural labor. The series aims to bridge personal narratives with broader political and economic themes, specifically highlighting the undervalued contributions of women in the cultural and artistic fields. the private sphere as a site of intellectual dialogue and collective memory-making.
2. Object of the Tender
RLS is seeking a multidisciplinary team or service provider to handle the editorial development, hosting, and comprehensive management of a 6-to-10 episodes of video podcast series. This tender covers the intellectual and organizational backbone of the project, ensuring high-quality content, accessibility, and community engagement.
Note: Technical audio-visual production (filming/lighting) may be handled by a separate production entity; the successful applicant for this tender must be prepared to coordinate closely with technical partners.
3. Scope of Work
The selected team will be responsible for the following service pillars as outlined in the project’s requirements:
- Hosting & Project Management: Providing an experienced host to lead conversations and a project manager to oversee the series’ workflow.
- Editorial Research & Journalism: A team of researchers/journalists to develop episode angles, conduct background research, and coordinate content treatment.
- Accessibility & Translation: Providing full transcription, translation, and multilingual subtitling (Tunisian Derja to Arabic and English) specifically designed for inclusive access.
- Visual Identity & Graphic Design: Creating all visual materials, thumbnails, and branding assets for each episode.
- Digital Growth & Community Management: Managing social media presence, creating captions, and fostering community engagement.
- Marketing & Promotion: Executing targeted social media advertising and promotional campaigns.
- Logistics & Set Design: Overseeing the set decoration (décor), cleaning, and providing catering for the team and guests during recording sessions.
4. Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following qualifications of the proposed team:
- Editorial Excellence: Demonstrated experience in journalism, research, and storytelling, particularly regarding socio-economic and cultural issues.
- Hosting & Communication: A proven track record in podcast hosting or public speaking, with the ability to facilitate spontaneous and deep conversations.
- Linguistic & Technical Proficiency: Expertise in translating Tunisian Derja into standard Arabic and English, with a focus on subtitling for accessibility (persons with disabilities).
- Creative Portfolio: Quality of previous graphic design work and success in social media community management for cultural projects.
- Administrative Compliance: Only teams with valid business registration and tax identification will be considered.
- Cost efficiency with commitment to fair compensation for intellectual labor.
5. Submission Requirements
Interested parties must submit a comprehensive application containing:
- Methodological Note: Detailing the editorial approach and how the team will manage the various service pillars (Management, Research, Design, etc.).
- Team Portfolio: CVs of the lead host, lead journalist, and graphic designer, along with links to previous relevant work.
- Financial Offer: A detailed financial offer for the required service categories (Hosting, Research, Translation, design , etc.).
- Administrative Documents: Copy of business registration and Tax ID.
6. Timeline and Deliverables
The project will follow a progressive production schedule over approximately seven months, with two edited and subtitled episodes delivered per month following the initial research phase.
