Wael Garnaoui

is an Assistant Professor at the University of Sousse. He holds a PhD in Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology from Université Paris Cité. In 2021, he founded the Border Studies Research Group (BSRG) at the Centre for Anthropology in Sousse. His work explores migration policies, processes of border externalization, and their effects on the political and subjective experiences of populations in the Global South, particularly in Tunisia. He is the author of Harga et désir d’Occident (Nirvana, 2022).
