Saker El Nour
Saker El Nour is a rural sociologist, independent consultant, and co-founder of the Action Network for a Just Transition in the MENA Region (RÉSEAU-TANMO). His work focuses on political ecology, food sovereignty, and environmental justice, land tenure and local communities oral history in Arab countries. El Nour is a frequent contributor to independent media platforms, including Jadalyya, Nileifo, Almanassa and Mada Masr. Among his publications are the co-authored book “Mrahrah Bread: The Political Economy of Food Sovereignty in Egypt” (2021) and the co-edited volume “People and Water in Egypt: A Political Ecology Perspective” (2023), both of which are published by Dar Sefsafa in Cairo.
